Mrs. Novella Short Foster, 101, resident of  1010 Second Street, Kings Mountain, NC,  went to be with the Lord, Friday, May 14, 2010. Services were held at Family Worship Center, Church of God. Burial followed in Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC.

Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by her husband, William F. “Pop” Foster; her parents, Joe Baxter and Hulda Pruitt Short; 8 brothers; and 6 sisters.

She is survived by 1 son, Ralph Foster and wife Katherine of Cherryville, NC; 6 daughters, Margaret Patterson, Sue Cochran, Faye Robinson, and Debra Burton and husband Mickey, all of Kings Mountain, NC, Joyce Mann and husband Clarence of Shelby, NC, and Shirley McSwain and husband A.L. of Cherryville, NC; 27 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Family Worship Center, Church of God, Building Fund, 1818 Shelby Road, Kings Mountain, NC 28086.
