Mike Plank President of Number Three Ruritan Club accepts awards from Mike Smith, District Governor of Western NC Ruritan District. Awards received for 2016 are: Citizenship and Patriotism; Social Development and one that recognizes Edley Roberts for his faithful service as club treasurer for several years. Club officers for 2017 installed during this meeting are: Mike Plank, President, Rev. Roy Byers, Vice President, Bob Ridge, Treasurer, and Vernon Browning, Secretary. Board of Directors installed are Broadus Heatherly, Patti Thompson and W.Y. Ellis. Number Three Township Club meets the second Monday of each month at Showmar's of Shelby at 7 pm.
