Odessa Huskey Roberts

Mrs. Odessa Huskey Roberts, 81, passed away on February 10, 2025.

She was born in Cleveland County to the late Mildred Accor McGill and Pervis Huskey.
Odessa attended Camp High School and Cleveland Community College. She was employed by Dora Mill, Private Home Health Care, Director of J&D Kilgore Childcare Development Center, Helping Hands, and the U. S Post Office. She served as a former member of the Progressive Women's Club; Troop Leader of the Brownie and Girl Scouts, served on the Usher Board, Kitchen committee, Senior Choir, Missionary Circle, VBS teacher, and Pastor's Aid Committee at Washington Missionary Baptist Church.
Odessa was a dynamic cook and was famous for her sweet potato pies and cherry cheese cake. She was a quiet soul that spoke volumes in every way. She loved her family dearly, including her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Lee Roberts, Sr.; sons, David Lee Roberts, Jr. and Tracy Leon Roberts.
Left to cherish precious and fond memories are her daughter, Lisa Roberts Brown (Darin); eight grandchildren, O'Bryan Roberts (Ree), Christina Borders, Nakitta Smith (Derrick), Tracy Roberts (Tiffany), Jasmine Gibson (Jose'), Jordan Roberts, Kennedy Roberts, and Selena Roberts; 15 great grand-children; uncle, Douglas Accor; special sister cousin, Sandra Avery; brother cousin, Charles Accor; sister in law, Mattie Roberts; special sister friend, Doris Kilgore; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services was held on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Washington Missionary Baptist Church.
