Old Timey Picnic set for May 20, 2017

The Kings Mountain Historical Museum invites the public to attend an Old Timey Spring Picnic on Saturday, May 20th, 2017 from 12:00 until 4:00 pm at the Kings Mountain Historical Museum, located at 100 East Mountain St., Kings Mountain, NC. Admission is free for museum members and $10 for non-members.
The Old Timey Spring Picnic will feature live music, historic games, storytelling, craft demonstrations, tours of the historic Barber & Cornwell homes, and more. A BBQ lunch will be served 12:00 -1:30 pm; to reserve your plate please RSVP to 704-739-1019 by May 16. BYO lawn chairs and picnic blankets. Event is rain or shine. The event will also be farewell to the current exhibit First Peoples: Catawba & Cherokee Nations.
The Museum encourages community members to join or renew their memberships now. Membership revenue is used to support KMHM's exhibits and events, and to support preservation for three historic buildings and an ever-growing collection of artifacts representing the region's material heritage.
