Olive Carroll Freeman

Olive Carroll Freeman, age 89, died Sunday July, 29 2018 at Hospice Wendover. Born in Decatur, Georgia on December 25, 1928, she was the daughter of the late ElijahBunyan and Lula Flora Gerring Carroll. She was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was the owner and operator of Churchill Daycare Center for 22 years. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and walking. However, her greatest joy was being a Nana. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James C. Freeman and nine sisters and four brothers.

Olive is survived by her three daughters, Debbie Bridges and husband Wayne of Shelby, Pam Patterson and husband Steve of Ellenboro and Robin Dover and husband Teddy of Shelby; five grandchildren, Jason Patterson and wife Stephanie, Jeremy Bridges and wife Laura, Leslie Faulkenberry and husband Tommy, Josh Hamrick, Katie Mauney and husband Michael, and nine great grandchildren, Carlie Patterson, Cassey Faulkenberry, Laney Jo Patterson, Jake Bridges, Brady Hamrick, Ella Faulkenberry, Mabry Kate Hamrick, Jaxon Mauney, Finn Mauney.

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 1:30 pm in the sanctuary of Bethel Baptist Church with Dr. Tim Simms officiating. The family will receive friends before the service from 12:00 pm until 1:30 pm in the sanctuary and other times at the home of Robin and Teddy Dover.
