Ora Rudasill Trivett

Ora Rudasill Trivett, age 88, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 at White Oak Manor-Shelby.

Born in Cleveland County on December 27, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee "Bobby" Rudasill and Nina Cabaniss Rudasill. She worked as a Nurse Auditor Specialist for many years and her exceptional work in the field led her to serve as one of only two nurses selected in the state of NC to work the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, CA. She retired after many years of public service. Ora was a life-long member of Zion Baptist Church and was very active in the Faith Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her husband Glen Owen Trivett, two brothers Thomas Michael Rudasill and Robert Rudasill and wife Betty and a sister, Ann Blanton Humphries.

She is survived by her two sons Victor G. Trivett (Becky) of Franklin, NC; and Bryan Lee Trivett (Deborah) of Shelby, NC. She is also survived by her special grandchildren Avett Davis of SC, Austin Trivett, Braxton Davis of Newland, Allyson Trivett, Andrew Trivett, Alex Trivett, Joshua Trivett, Zachary Trivett, Shawn Davis, and Jed Davis and also one great-granddaughter Brylee Henry.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, March 29th, 2021 at Zion Baptist Church in Shelby with Dr. Matthew Story officiating. It is requested that those in attendance wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
