Over 3,000 Attend 2010 “Rodeo Polkville”
Another rider breaks out of one of the chutes on a feisty bronc!

At the 11th annual Rodeo Polkville this past Friday and Saturday evenings everyone was in a festive mood and ready to enjoy all the excitement. The rodeo is held at Polkville Baptist Church’s Mintz Arena and features all the skills of bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, team roping, barrel racing, and bull riding. The different competitions held everyone’s attention, especially the little cowboys and girls! One of the biggest crowd pleasers was rodeo clown Jerry Wayne Olson and his little pony “Scout”. “Scout” was very entertaining, fetching Jerry Wayne’s hat and sitting up while waving to the crowd. Over $1700 in proceeds raised at the event will go to benefit missions and disaster relief. Without a doubt, Polkville Baptist Church’s “Rodeo Polkville” is one of the best family fun events in Cleveland County.
