At the Polkville Baptist Church’s 12th annual Rodeo Polkville at Mintz Arena, Friday and Saturday, June 17 and 18, we found these four cowpokes sitting on the back of the horse chute gate. Pictured are Cole Hartsell from Mt. Olive, N. C.; Tanner Lloyd from Mt. Ulla, N.C.; Cory Clark from Stevenville, Texas; and Jaxson Tucker from Mt. Ulla, N.C. When asked what they were doing, the reply from these young men was: “We’re Rodeoing!” Congratulations to this year’s, Shelby Shopper & Info sponsored, calf roping event winner Alan Livengood from Cleveland, N. C., with a tie up time of 9.4 seconds.
