Pamela Moore Gay, age 60, of Mooresboro, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby.

Pamela was born Saturday, August 19, 1961 in Rutherford County to the late Sylvia Arrowood Moore and John "J.C." Moore, Jr. who resides in Dobbinsville. She was a dedicated homemaker and a faithful member of High Shoal Baptist Church. Pamela enjoyed going to church, painting and collecting owls and lighthouses. She especially loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-eight years, Timothy W. Gay.

Besides her father, those left to cherish fond memories are her daughter, Kindra McKinney (Justin) of Ellenboro; four sons, Scott Gay (Kristina Giles) of Bloomington, Indiana, Brandon Gay of Ellenboro, James Gay (Miranda) of Ellenboro and Marcus Gay of Mooresboro; a brother, Carl Moore of Dobbinsville and four grandchildren, Jackson, Garrison, Olivia and Jamison Gay.

The funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Friday, January 28, 2022 at High Shoal Baptist Church with Reverend Shane Adkins officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at the church cemetery.
