Patricia Champion, age 74, died Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Testa Hospice House in Kings Mountain. Born June 10, 1943 she was the daughter of the late Jenkins Morrison and Lillian Viola Blankenship Morrison. She was a long time member of Elizabeth Baptist Church where she served as former Sunday school treasurer and secretary. She enjoyed spending her time outdoors, especially at Moss Lake where she was always willing to teach anyone to water ski, or offer them a trip around the lake on the boat. Pat dearly loved her children and grandchildren and would do anything she could to make sure that she was able to support them in any activities that they were involved in; she never wanted to miss a thing.

In addition to her parents Pat is preceded in death by her sister Nancy Lovelace.

Pat is survived by her husband "Big Bill" Champion, her son Dale Champion and wife Kim of Fallston, daughter, Lisa Barnhill and husband Tim of Shelby, five sisters; Jean Price of Shelby, Jackie Gold of Lattimore, Doodle Webb of Boiling Springs, Kay Phillips of Boiling Springs, and Debbie Morrison of Shelby, one brother, Jimmy Morrison and wife Sandra of Shelby, three grandchildren, Dakota Self and husband Cody of Polkville, Raven Champion of Fallston and Hanson Barnhill of Shelby.

Graveside service will be held 11 am Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Elizabeth Baptist Church, with Dr. Rit Varriale officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 7, 2017 from 6 pm until 8 pm at Cecil M Burton Funeral Home and Crematory or other times at the home 2103 Peninsula Ave, Shelby NC 28150.
