Patricia Hopper Harrill, age 81, of Rosey Lane, Rutherfordton, went home to be the Lord on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Fair Haven of Forest City.
Born October 16, 1936 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter to the late James Kate Hopper and Bessie May Bell Gorden Hopper. She worked for Cone Mills-Cliffside Plant and Aeroquip Industries for several years. Patricia especially enjoyed being a helpmate to her husband and was a dedicated homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Tracy Yelton of Rutherfordton and daughter, Pamela Renee Ward of Afton, Virginia.
Those left to cherish her memory, include her husband, Reverend Michael Harrill, Sr.; two sons, Jeffrey Todd Yelton and wife, Brenda of Harrisburg, NC and Reverend Michael Brian Harrill, Jr. and wife, Sarah of Morganton and a daughter, Sheila Renee Lewis of Yankton, South Dakota; brother, Gary Hopper of Chattanooga, TN and sister, Brenda Crane and husband, Robert of Irmo, SC. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, Joshua Douglas Yelton, Robyn Dawn Yelton, James Michael Ware, Jennifer Renee Ricketts, George Jeffery Hoover, Jason Ricky Ware, Talon James Yelton, Samuel Edward Yelton, Breanna Bethany Yelton, Jessica Lewis Henson, Christopher Harding Lewis, Luke Michael Harrill, Kristen Harrill London and nine great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Kistler's Chapel United Methodist Church with Reverend Julie O'Neil and Reverend Karl Kelly officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the church. Memorial donations are respectfully requested to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, P.O. Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
