Patricia Maddox Hopper, 74, of Shelby, NC departed this life on Friday, November 8, 2024 at her residence.

She was born in Cleveland County, NC, to the late Edgar and Jeanette Toms Maddox.
"Pat" as she was called by many, graduated from Shelby High School. She was employed with the former Cleveland Memorial Hospital for 28 years. In addition, she worked for Central Transport Service of Cleveland County since 2004.
Pat was a member of Ellis Chapel Baptist Church in Patterson Springs, NC where she served as a member of the choir. She loved the Lord and loved praising Him.
Pat was always a very outgoing person who got along with everyone and never met a stranger. She was a cheerful giver and enjoyed helping people in any way she could. Lastly, she loved her family and especially enjoyed spending precious time with her granddaughter.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her brothers, Edward Maddox and Craig Thomas Maddox.
She leaves cherished memories to her son, Charles J. Weaver (Jacqueline) of Kingstown, NC; a granddaughter, Kerria Weaver of Rochester, NY; a brother, Bill Maddox (Patricia) of Shelby, NC; a sister in law, Chineta Maddox of Shelby, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
