Patsy Waters Hipp, age 79, of Ellenboro, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023 at the Willow Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Patsy was born Monday, July 12, 1943 in Saluda, NC to the late Vedas Glenn Waters and Louise Pace Waters. She was a cook for many years at the Ruther House Restaurant in Forest City and also the Daycare Director at Main Street Daycare in Spindale for several years. Patsy enjoyed yardwork, camping and loved attending her children's sporting events. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Terrell D. Hipp and daughter, Cathy Louise England; stepson, Albert Ray Hipp; sisters, Shirley Hipp and Beatrice Revan; brothers, Jack, Ralph and Glenn Waters.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Patricia Hipp (Phillip Myers) of Morristown, Tennessee; stepchildren, Mike Hipp and Mary Jane Capps both of Hendersonville, NC; sister, Adeline Pearson of Hendersonville and brother, Archie Waters (Angie) of Mill Spring; sixteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 5th at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
