Paul "Chucky" Alexander Chambers

Mr. Paul "Chucky" Alexander Chambers, 64, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Wendover Hospice in Shelby, NC.

He was born on April 18, 1960, in Cleveland County to the late Paul and Mahalia Petty Chambers.
He loved his family and loved spending time with them, making them laugh by telling great jokes. He was known for his famous one and only 'ash tray dance'. He loved cooking, with his specialties being meatloaf and pig's feet. He was known as the spoiled child of the family.
Paul was a member of Focus Missionary Baptist Church. He worked for TC Strickland Construction for more than 10 years. He loved the outdoors and liked keeping the grass cut nice and neat and leaves raked up.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Janett Chambers Elder; four brothers, Daryl Chambers, Keith Chambers, Mark Chambers, and Kelly Chambers; and the love of his life, Kay Roberts.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Kiera Roberts, Derrick Dawkins, and Cornelius Tillman; and the children he reared a home with for many years, Iesha Roberts, Joey Roberts, and Raheem Roberts. He also leaves two sisters, Patricia Willliams and Brenda Chambers; a brother, Maurice Chambers; sister-in-law, Willie Ann Chambers; eighteen grandchildren; three dear friends, Allen Wilson, Tammy Shell, and Daryl Harper; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 3 p.m. at Focus Missionary Baptist Church. Enloe Mortuary was in charge of the services.
