Paul Crouse Howell

Paul Crouse Howell, 88, of Cherryville, went to his heavenly home on
Saturday, October 6, 2018 at his home.

Born in Lincoln County on May 14, 1930, he was a son of the late Sam and Mae
Towery Howell. Paul began his working career as a brick mason. He was
retired from Lutz Yelton Oil Company and Keeter Ford. He helped his wife
faithfully at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home until his health began to
decline. Paul was also an active member of Bethlehem United Methodist
Church and the Cleveland County Cattleman's Association. He was an avid
Bluegrass musician and played the guitar and autoharp. Paul was a lifelong
farmer and in his later years enjoyed farming with his son.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers, Cone
Howell and wife, Mary and Henry Howell and wife Mary Lou and two sisters,
Eula Kate Engle and husband Thea and Madge Howell.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Kaye Barrett Howell;
son, Danny Howell and wife Carrie of Cherryville; his two precious
granddaughters, Danielle Sweezy and husband Josh and Allison Howell and his
loving dog, Princess.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Bethlehem United
Methodist Church with the Revs. Alice Day, Randi Godfrey, Dr. Tim Elmore and
David Blanton officiating.

The burial will follow the service at the church cemetery.
