Paul Douglas Bumgardner, 63 of Polkville Road, Shelby, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023 at Hospice at Wendover.

Born in Cleveland County, NC on August 15, 1960, he was the son of the late G.C. Bumgardner and Louise Mincey Bumgardner. He was retired from Watts Regulator and was a member of Blessed Way Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Robin Costner Bumgardner and a sister, Betty B. Earl.

Survivors include his son, Mark Bumgardner of Shelby; four brothers, Harold Bumgardner, Tommy Bumgardner and Jerry Bumgardner all of Lawndale and Odis Bumgardner of Shelby; four sisters, Jean Wilkie of Polkville, Martha Miller of Morganton, Ida Yelton of Golden Valley and Debbie Grigg of Shelby; sister-in-law, Wanda Ramsey; numerous nieces and nephews; special friend, Terry Toney and special pet, Bud.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023 at 11:00 am at Golden Valley Missionary Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Maggie Andre officiating.

The family will greet friends following the graveside service.
