Paul Roger Chapman, 82, of Lincolnton, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022.

Born in Lincoln County, on August 14, 1939 , he was the son of the late Johnny Chapman and Irene Lineberger Chapman Finger. He was a retired carpenter and craftsman and also served in the US Army. Roger was also know as the legendary Redbone Willy.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son Johnny Paul Chapman.

He is survived by his sister Barbara Champion of Kings Mountain; brother, David Chapman of Hickory; special caregiver, Glenda Miller and family; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

A private service for family and close friends will be held at a later date.
