Mr. Paul Thomas Ridings, 74, of Shelby, NC, passed away at his home on December 21, 2012.  A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Garland Roosevelt Ridings & Lily Camp Ridings.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, LaFern Elizabeth Carpenter Ridings; one brother and one sister.  He had worked as a set up technician and later retired from Kemet.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, reading his Bible, fishing, deer hunting, bowling, coloring, and grilling out and eating steaks.

He is survived by three daughters, Alita Drewery & husband, Dean of Lattimore, Paula Parker & husband, Sam of Boiling Springs, and Kandi Bridges & husband, Keith of Mooresboro; grandchildren, Cheryl Bailey, Nichole Murray, Stefin Bridges, Emily Parker, Tiffany Lockridge, Zachary Parker, and Kimberly Bridges; and great grandchildren, Melia & Catelyn Bailey, and Alyssa & Dylan Murray; four brothers, Jack Ridings, Garland Ridings, Forrest Ridings, Billy Ridings, and two sisters, Grace Russ & Joyce Teseniar.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at Calvary Baptist Church, Sunday, December 23, 2012   2:00 – 3:00 pm

Funeral:  The funeral will follow at Calvary Baptist Church, 3:00 pm
