Pauline Allen Lankford, age 73 of Shelby, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Atrium Health in Shelby.

She is survived by her children, J.D. Lankford (Patti) of Shelby, NC, and Terry Lankford (Patti) of Gaffney, SC, four grandchildren, Wyatt Lankford of Shelby, NC, Zach Bostic (Jana) of Mauldin, SC, Jacob Bostic of Gaffney, SC, and Sarah Bostic of Gaffney, SC, a sister, Vangie Ledbetter of Shelby, NC, two brothers, Lee Allen of Kings Mountain, NC, and Charles Allen of Shelby, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born May 1, 1949 in Rutherford County, Pauline was the daughter of the late Johnny Hugh Allen and Annie Lee Biggerstaff Allen and was preceded in death by three brothers, Thurman Allen, Ronnie Allen, and Paul Allen, four sisters, Bunie Boheler, Jo Mauney, Bertie Hoppes, and Ann Ledbetter, and a special companion, Bud Earls.

Pauline was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Pauline was like a mother to the community and will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Cleveland Funeral Services chapel conducted by Rev. Eddie Gray and Rev. Billy Boone. A visitation will be held from 1:00pm - 2:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
