Pauline Clay Harrelson

Pauline Clay Harrelson, 99, of Stagecoach Trail, Fallston, passed away
Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Hickory Falls Health and Rehab in Granite
Falls.

Born in Cleveland County, on October 1, 1919, she was a daughter of the late
Caleb Frank Clay and Martha Hoyle Clay. She had worked for Stamey Stores,
Inc, but mainly was employeed in banking as a teller for Union Trust, BB&T
and Wells Fargo. Pauline was member of Friendship United Methodist Church.
She loved looking after and caring for children by keeping them in her home
and as a foster grandmother for Cleveland County Schools up until age 94.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in by her husband Charles Stough
Harrelson; six brothers, Charlie Clay, Jim Clay, D.H. Clay, Hugh Clay,
Robert Clay and William Clay; and two sisters, Maggie Wease and Kate Watson.

She is survived by a son, Alan Harrelson of Fallston; daughter, Ann H. U'Ren
and husband Rickey of Hickory; three granddaughters, Melissa Zickefoose and
husband Brian, Amber Harrelson, and Brandy Towery; and four great
grandchildren, Raylan Zickefoose, Alyssa Montecuollo, Averee Montecuollo,
and Kylee Goins.

The family will recieve friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston.

The funeral service will be on Thursday at 3:00 PM at Friendship United
Methodist Church with the Rev. Neal Brower and Rev. Fred Towery officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Rose Hill Memorial Park
