Pauline "Polly" "Nana" Brooks McDaniel

Pauline "Polly" "Nana" Brooks McDaniel, 98, died Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Atrium Health Cleveland.

A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late John and Verdie Green Brooks. Polly was a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church where she served as the nursery director for more than 40 years. She retired from textiles, later working many meaningful years at the Bulldog Quik-Snak. She enjoyed attending ballgames with her grand, great grand and great-great grandchildren. She was an avid Braves fan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Perry McDaniel; brother, Bud Brooks; sister, Becky Wallace; grandson, Jerry McDaniel Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Kay McDaniel.

She is survived by her sons, David McDaniel of GA, Frosty McDaniel and wife Faye of DE and Jerry McDaniel and wife Lisa of Mooresboro; daughter, Revonda Humphries and husband Kenneth of Boiling Springs; sisters, Cat Jolley, Carolyn Hunt and husband Bob and Lib Jones, all of Boiling Springs; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 22 great-great grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11:00AM, Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Boiling Springs Baptist Church, with the Rev. Keith Dixon officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, in the sanctuary. Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Boiling Springs Baptist Church.
