Pearl Ettabell Matthews Buff, 76 of Casar Road, Casar, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at her residence.

Born in Burke County, NC on November 9, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Albert Roosevelt Matthews and Virginia Dare Edwards Matthews. She was retired from General Electric and was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Theodore Buff, Sr. and a granddaughter, Linda Shehan.

Survivors include her son, Teddy Buff of Casar; daughter, Rita Buff Hudson and fiance, Alan King of Casar; two brothers, Mack Matthews of Rutherford College and James Matthews of Connelly Springs; sister, Audrey Long of Icard; five grandchildren, Josh Hudson and wife, Emily, Megan Hooper and husband, Travis, Samantha Buff, Melisha Shehan and Rebecca Buff and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St. Paul Baptist Church.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Paul Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Fulbright officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery.
