Peggy Grayson Gantt

Peggy Grayson Gantt, 88, died Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Atrium Health Cleveland.

A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Forest and Mary Camp Grayson.

Peggy retired from Shelby Savings & Loan after 35 years, she was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, taught children's church at Daniel Boone Campground for over 40 years and was an ABMA member.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Gantt; brothers, Jack and Ronnie Grayson; sisters, Pat Gorman and Linda Noggle; niece, Tammy Hines; and great-granddaughter, Amelia Gryder.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Biggerstaff and husband Micheal of Gurnee, IL, Cindy Walker and husband James of Shelby and Sandy Price of Fallston; sister, Catherine Tillman and husband Eddie of Shelby; brother, Roger Grayson and wife Catherine of Boiling Springs; grandchildren, Jennifer Gryder, Kate Biggerstaff, Christie Biggerstaff, Seth Jordan, Matt Mode, MaryBeth Walker, and Leah Price; nine great-grandchildren; and her K-9 companion, Charlie.

The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, November 27, 2022 at Bethel Baptist Church with Dr. Tim Sims officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church.
