Peggy Janelle Owens Truesdale, 79, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on April 02, 2024 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC.

Born in Cleveland, NC, she was daughter of the late Hoyle and Lucille Mullinax Owens and was also preceded in death by her sister, Annette Owens Pruitt, and a grandson, Tyler Jarrett. She worked for 30 years with Buckeye Fire Equipment. Janelle loved Jesus and was a member of Family Worship Center Church of God in Kings Mountain, NC. She also had love for horses and was a longtime member of the Kings Mountain Saddle Club. Janelle is remembered by her family as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her kindness and warmth will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

SURVIVORS: Children: Robyn Summitt Jarrett and Donnie, of Newton, NC; Joel Summitt and Casey, of Kings Mountain, NC

Grandchildren: T.J. Summitt and Kissi, of Mt. Holly, NC; Nikkie Nance and Chad, of Gastonia, NC; Hunter Thomas, of Kings Mountain, NC; Taner Jarrett and Holly, of Lincolnton, NC

14 great-grandchildren: Ayla Summitt, Millie Summitt, Cy Nance, Catcher Nance, Camden Nance, Julian Thomas, Ryleigh Thomas, Tinsley Thomas, Colt Aviis, Kyler Jarrett, Jackson Jarrett, Hunter Jarrett, and Brooklyn Jarrett

Janelle is additionally survived by her nephew, Wayne Gregory and Kelly, of Shelby, NC.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Sunday, April 7th, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. in the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel at Harris Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Woodard officiating.

VISITATION: Sunday, April 7th, 2024 in the parlor of Harris Funeral Home prior to the service from 2:00 P.M. - 2:50 P.M.
