Peggy "MaaMaa" Panther

Peggy "MaaMaa" Panther, 79, passed away at Atrium Health/Cleveland February 3, 2022.

A native of Gaston Co., she was born to the late Glenn and Bryte Turner Reynolds. In addition to her parent's she was preceded in death by her son-in-law Scott Thornburg and her daughter-in-law Jennifer Panther. Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Austin Panther, of the home, daughter Krista McClellan and husband Phil of Shelby, son John Panther of Rock Hill, grandchildren Brittney Grigg and husband Tyler of Shelby, Abbie and Mason Panther of Rock Hill, great-grandchildren Hayden and Maddox. Sister Sue McNeilly and husband Gary and many other precious family and friends.

Peggy was a member of Eastside Baptist Church where she was in the Sister's of Faith Sunday School class and sang in the choir. She was MaaMaa to everyone she came in contact with. There is no one on this earth that will love us more than she did. There is a song that describes what she lived for "Thank God for Kids".

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday February 6, 2022 at Eastside Baptist Church, Rev. Dale Byrd, officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.
