Peggy Padgett Johnson joined her husband at the Golden Gates of Heaven on Saturday August 21st, in the presence of family at the Testa Hospice in Kings Mountain, NC.

Mrs. Johnson selflessly loved and served others and leaves a legacy of true motherhood.

Born in Burke County on December 8, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Buford Adie Padgett and Violet Cindy Weaver Padgett. Mrs. Johnson was retired from Ingles where she was the bakery manager for many years. She has also been a devoted member of Eastside Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was met at the Golden Gates of Heaven by her grandchildren Bethany Johnson Preston and Joshua Ayers; and also a great grandchild Karis Barnhill, a brother Beckley Padgett and a sister Betty Huntsinger.

Living to honor her is, Benita Johnson, Earnest Andrew Johnson Jr. (aka Andy) and wife Karla Johnson, Tiffany Johnson Wright and husband Neil Wright, Tracie Johnson, and Caryn White and husband Brent White and sister Shelia and husband Dennis Parker, and of course, ¹mans best friend-mom and dads baby-Bambi.

Also carrying on her legacy is grandchildren and great grandchildren and spouses. John Preston and great grandchildren Brayden, Trevor and Kadence Preston; Kendra Johnson, CJ and Kacey Phillips, and Drew Johnson; Kyle Johnson; Ethan and Jessica Sawyers and great grandchild Blakely Sawyers;Davis and Arden Barnhill, Luke White and great grandchildren Covington and Caryngton Barnhill.

We also want to offer a special thank you to Tammy Carico and Dianne Martin for faithfully serving our mother and father and providing such love and care.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 24. 2021 at 4pm at Rose Memorial Park with Pastor Dale Byrd from Eastside Baptist Church officiating the service.

Following service will be Family Visitation.

Due to Covid-19 social distancing and mask will be required for attendees.
