Penny Lee Stone, 69, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, November 19, 2022.

She was born on July 25, 1953 in Gastonia to Hubert and Ruth Todd Stone. She graduated from Kings Mountain High School in 1971. Penny became an in-home caregiver. This career kept her very busy and she found helping others extremely rewarding. Every individual that she worked with became dear to her heart and was considered family. Penny was a very active member of Allen Memorial Baptist Church in Grover, where loved all her church families. She enjoyed singing on Sunday and helping with Vacation Bible School each year. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a niece, Amanda.

She is survived by two brothers, David Stone and wife Patricia and Grady Stone; four nephews, Tim, Thomas, Patrick and Robert; and a great nephew, Steven. Penny enjoyed family gatherings, especially at Christmas. She also enjoyed traveling when her schedule allowed. She looked forward to annual beach trips. She treasured every moment spent with family and friends. She was a light and encouragement to everyone she met and will be greatly missed by those who knew her. Her faith and belief in God were evidence in all she did and a testimony to everyone.

The family will receive friends 2:00-3:00PM, Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Allen Memorial Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00PM, in the church, with the Rev. Reece Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, and a reception, open to all, will follow the burial at the church. Memorials may be made to Allen Memorial Baptist Church.
