Perry F. Dotson, age 71, of Ellenboro, NC, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
Born May 17, 1945 in Rutherford County, he was a son to the late Thurman Dotson and Pearl Rogers Dotson. Perry worked as a supervisor for Doran Textiles for many years before retirement and was a member of Race Path Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed working on old cars. Perry also played on several baseball and softball leagues.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife, Joanne Dobbins Dotson and two brothers, Ray and Vernon Dotson; three sisters, Virginia Laws, Ruby Dotson and Helen Morrow.
Those left to cherish his memory includes one son, Matthew Dotson of Ellenboro; brother, Ernest Dotson and wife, Sudie of Rutherford County and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
The graveside service will conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the Race Path Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Randall Cooper officiating. The family will receive friends in the church auditorium from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.
