Phyllis J. Hoppes, age 72, of South Church Street, Forest City, NC, died Saturday, March 23, 2013 at her residence.
Phyllis was born December 28, 1940 in Sullivan County, Tennessee to the late Algie Jones and Mary Barger Jones. She enjoyed all kinds of craftwork and loved her animals.
She worked for PPG Industries for 20 years before her retirement.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Willa Bridges and one brother, R.P. Jones.
Survivors include her daughter, Angela Limerick of Forest City; two sons, Paul Limerick of California and Donnie Limerick of Marion, NC. She is also survived by five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and her two life-long companion pets, Bam and Sasha.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Travis McEntyre officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. A private interment will take place on a later date.
