Preserving Summer's Bounty: 2018 Canning & Freezing classes

The NC Cooperative Extension office announces upcoming hands-on Food Preservation Classes to be held at the Cleveland County Center. Learn to safely preserve food at home. The workshop includes supplies and recipes.
Classes are as follows: Tuesday, July 10, 2018 - Canning Low-Acid Foods 1:30 until 4:30pm. Wednesday, August 8, Canning High-Acid Foods & Freezing 10:00am until 1:00pm.
Registration fee is $10.00, pre-registration & pre-payment is required. Workshop size is limited. Register by calling or in-person at: NC Cooperative Extension Cleveland County Center, 130 South Post Road, Suite 1, Shelby, NC 28152, 704-482-4365.
PRESSURE CANNER DIAL GAUGE TESTING: Pressure canner dial gauges should be tested each year. Call the NC Cooperative Extension Cleveland County Center at 704-482-4365 to schedule an appointment for FREE testing before you begin your yearly canning.
