Priscilla Irene Bell Wray

Priscilla Irene Bell Wray, age 76, died Monday, August 28, 2017 at Carolina's Healthcare System-Cleveland. Born in Cleveland County on December 16, 1940 Priscilla was the daughter of the late Odus Palmer and Myrtle Hull Bell. Priscilla worked at Hoechst-Celanse for 38 years and was an active member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church where she was in charge of the commodities program and taught the Sunday school class, Margie's Bible Class. Priscilla was an active volunteer for hospice, The Senior Center; Board of Elections as a precinct official, Golden Girls Softball team and the Breast Cancer Society; as well as being a breast cancer survivor. In addition to her parents Priscilla is preceded in death by two brothers Kenneth Ray Bell and Stephen Palmer Bell.

Priscilla is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Gene Wray; one son, Tony Wray and his wife Meloni McGraw Wray of New Bern; a daughter Tammy Wray Branton of Boiling Springs, a sister, Joyce McGuire and husband Jerry of Mooresville, a brother, Gary Bell and his wife Karen of Boiling Springs, a sister-in-law, Linnie Bell of Shelby; and three grandchildren Tyler Wray and Luke Henry Wray of Greenville and Michael Branton of Boiling Springs.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 6:00pm at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Trexler officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00pm - 6:00pm in the church sanctuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Building Fund, 1227 Mt. Sinai Church Road, Shelby, NC 28152 or Hospice Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
