"This season has been quite a journey," said Thrift, who earned more than $203,000 in winnings in the 2015 season. "I'd like to say thank you to my family, friends and fans that have been there with me along the way."
The tournament was won by pro Brad Knight of Lancing, Tennessee, who weighed a four-day total of 20 bass for 51 pounds, 12 ounces. Knight earned the $500,000 top prize in the event that showcased 50 of the best bass-fishing anglers in the world competing in the final regular-season tournament.
