At the Shelby City Park, just before the rain came, three year old Dax and his 22 month sister, Addy, got set to take a ride on the Kiddie Coaster at the Foothills Merry-Go-Round Festival. However, after just one ride around, Addy wasn’t too happy. Attendees had to stop the coaster and let little crying Addy out. Her mom and dad reassured her that everything would be just fine while Dax continued having fun. Meanwhile, uptown at Arts on the Square, tents and umbrellas were the order of the day. The Foothills Farmers Market, Broad River European Classic car show, and dedicated crafters fought off the weather and kept the show going.
