Ralph Benjamin Lee, 86, of Hicks Hill Road, Lawndale, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Peak Resources in Cherryville.
Born in Cleveland County, NC on August 1, 1934, he was the son of the late James London Lee and Fannie Piccola Rudisill Lee. He retired after 27 years of service for Chevron USA and was a member of Palm Tree United Methodist Church. Mr. Lee was an avid woodworker and was a volunteer at U-Can in Lawndale.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Seeley Lee and two sisters, Lula Doris Smith and Mary Lois Queen.
Survivors include a son, Gary Wayne Lee and wife, Jennifer of Lawndale and four grandchildren, Erika Lee, Benjamin Lee, Billy Marshall and Maggie Marshall.
Mr. Lee will lie in state from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Palm Tree United Methodist Church. At other times the family will be at the home of the son Gary, 522 Oak Grove Clover Hill Church Road, Lawndale.
A Funeral Service will be held 3:00 PM, Sunday at Palm Tree United Methodist Church with the Rev. Keith Nichols officiating.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, mask and social distancing will be required.
The burial will follow the service in the Palm Tree United Methodist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Palm Tree United Methodist Church General Fund, PO Box 157, Lawndale, North Carolina 28090.
