Ralph Clifton Hord, 88, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Atrium Health Cleveland Hospital. Born in Cleveland County on August 9, 1937, he was the son of the late Forrest Richard Hord and Ellen Turner Hord. In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Hord, and his son-in-law, David McAllister.

Ralph began his career with Keeter Ford in January of 1962 and retired after 52 years of dedicated service. His dedication and loyalty to his work left a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike. He enjoyed traveling throughout his career and especially cherished the many trips he shared with his beloved wife, Jimmie.

Ralph will be fondly remembered for his love of golf and the countless friendships he formed throughout his life. His kind spirit and humor touched many people over the years.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jimmie Brown Hord; his daughter, Christel Gilbert, and her husband, Rickey Gilbert; his daughter, Catherine McAllister, and her son, Colton; and his daughter, Rebecca Wyrick, her husband, Jeff Wyrick, and their son, Jordan.

A celebration of life service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 7, 2026 in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Ralph's legacy of love, dedication, and quiet strength will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
