Ralph Eugene Davis

Ralph Eugene Davis, 66, of Gaffney, SC, went to be with the Lord on July 12, 2021 after a brief fight with cancer at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg, SC.

He was born in Chester County, SC, the eldest son of the late C.L. "Bud" and Joyce McCorkle Davis and was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Davis. He was also preceded in death by his son, Darrell Davis and three grandchildren, Lauren, Matthew, and Michael. Ralph, affectionately known as the "Candy Man", always had a cheerful greeting and a pocket full of candy for everyone he met.

He was a member of Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church in Gaffney where he displayed his faith in Christ by being baptized. Ralph loved to stay busy and created a career for himself as a plumber and an electric motor repairman. Outside of work, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and frog gigging with his brothers. He also loved spending time with the people whom he loved the most, his family. Ralph was always active, spending many hours cutting firewood, collecting aluminum cans, and helping anyone in need.
