Ralph Odell O'Shields, 79, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby.

Ralph was born in Brevard, NC on June 23, 1942 a son of the late Ralph Sylvester O'Shields and Ruth Fowler O'Shields.

He was retired from Bradington Young as an upholsterer.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Huffstetler O'Shields.

Survivors include one son and one daughter; a step-daughter, Tina Glover of Shelby; a step-son, Hillard Monk of Cherryville; a sister, Kathleen Britt of Hendersonville; four brothers, Edward, Burt, and James O'Shields all of Seneca, SC and Eugene O'Shields of Hendersonville; six step grandchildren, Chris Morris, Tabatha Nantz, Brandi Bunch, Hannah Head, Alexandra Monk and Michael Glover; five step great-grandchildren, Austin Morris, Mackenzie Nantz, Carly Bunch, James Bunch and Ian Barrett.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will greet friends following the service.

Burial will be private.
