Randy Flay Whitworth, affectionately known to many as "Harley," went to his heavenly home on August 4, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on July 17, 1956, in Cleveland County, North Carolina, Harley lived a life rich in love, family, and passion.

Randy was a man who cherished his time with family above all else. He found great joy in deer hunting and felt a deep sense of freedom while riding his motorcycle. As a Retired Windjammers member, Randy had a profound appreciation for the open road. He was also an avid reader and took pleasure in shooting sports, sharing these interests with those closest to him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Dover Whitworth; two sons, Jayson Flay Whitworth and Randy Sean Whitworth; a grandson, Caleb Cheyenne Toney; and a sister, Wanda Whitworth.
Randy leaves behind his devoted wife of 45 years, Donna Whitworth, who stood by his side through life's journey. He is survived by his father, Flay Floyd Whitworth; his son, Kevin James Mertz II, and wife, Tracy; his daughter, Amanda Dawn Chariker, and husband, Stix. His grandchildren, Jayson Kiser and wife, Taylor; Dylan Burgin; and CJ Toney and wife, Elizabeth, will continue to carry his legacy. Special cousins, Tommy Whitworth and wife, Mel; and Don Whitworth and wife, Myra, along with dear friends, Tina Hopkins and husband, Wayne, were a cherished part of his life. His memory will also be treasured by his niece, Haley Tesseneer and husband, Johnathan, along with 4 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews.
A memorial service to honor Randy''s life will be held at the family residence on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025, at 4:00 PM. His family invites all who knew him to join in celebrating the life of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
May his soul rest in peace, and his memory live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
