Ray B. Sigmon, 74 ,of Shelby, passed away on Friday, January 26th, 2024 at his home.
Ray was born on February 24th, 1949, and is a native of Gaston County. He was the son of the late Russell and Pearl Sigmon. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his wife Terrie Sigmon, his brothers, Buck, Jerry and Miles Sigmon as well as his sisters, Nellie Wyke and Faye Sisk.
Ray worked most of his life as an electrician, and was a proud member of the IBEW Union Local no. 379. Ray will be mostly remembered as a man who had fun and loved life. Ray was known for his love of football and gambling, as well as playing golf. Ray was also a man who loved his family and friends and was always available to lend a helping hand when needed.
Left to cherish the memory of this man is his son, Jacob Sigmon and his wife Mary Graham, his daughter, Andrea (Andi) Sigmon; two grandsons, Graham and Jay Sigmon; one special nephew, Paul Sisk as well as many other nieces and nephews and all of his extended family at Wings.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Ray Sigmon will be held on Tuesday, January 30th ,2024 at 4:00 pm in the Stamey-Tysinger Fallston Chapel, with the Rev. Jamie Mosteller officiating. Burial is private for the family. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
