Ray Gene Walker, 72, of Casar, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at his home.

Born in Cleveland County, on June 16, 1948, he was a son of the late Addie Edward Walker and Annie Maude Newton Walker. He was retired from Classic Leather and a member of Faith Chapel Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his four brothers, Raymond, Marce, Forest and Lawrence Walker and one sister, Coleen Parker.

He is survived by his two daughters, Sue Hudson and husband, Roger of Casar and Nancy Dennis of Shelby; sister, Nadine Goodman of Casar; seven grandchildren, Bobby Hudson, Tammy Davis, Kelsey Walker, Bobbie Jean Walker, Heather Mull, Steven Dennis, D.J. Dennis and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 26, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

The graveside service will be held on Saturday, at 11:00 am at St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Ledford officiating.
