Ray cherished his family, and always enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ray was most known for his welcoming personality to everyone who visited, always enjoying a good laugh and conversation, and brought a smile to all that knew him.

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his three brothers, Robert Warlick, Walter Warlick and Troy Warlick, and two sisters, Mary Lou Davis and Margaret Harbison.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 70 years, Marilyn Martin Warlick, two sons, Ray Warlick Jr. and wife Cindy of Fallston, Terry Warlick and wife Sherry of Fletcher; two grandchildren, Ashley Collins and husband Guy David of Bailey, Dustin Warlick and wife Whitney of Harmony, a step grandson, Toby McCaskill and wife Martha of Tennessee, two great grandchildren, Gracelynn and Blake Warlick, two-step great grandchildren, Katie and Emily, and two sisters Cecelia Miller of Lenoir, and Phyllis Miller of Huntersville.
