Reco Savales Meeks, 44, of Shelby, North Carolina, passed away on April 21, 2026. He was born on September 25, 1981, in Grover, North Carolina to Sunday H. Meeks.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Meeks; paternal grandparent, Ben J. Meeks, Louise Hull Meeks; and maternal grandparents Earnest and Victoria Hartgrove.

Reco leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory. They are his mother, Sunday H. Meeks; his significant other, Stacey Bailey; his children, Isaiah Meeks, Maliyah Meeks, Elijah Lankford, and Zoie Lankford; his grandson, Zaylon Wilson; his sisters, Katrina Hartgrove and LaQuanda Meeks; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 1, 2026 at Ellis Chapel Baptist Church with burial at St. Peter Baptist Church Cemetery.
