Reid Allen McDaniel, 72, passed away Monday, June 27, 2022. He was born January 26, 1950 to the late Clarence Grady McDaniel. Reid is preceded in death by his son, Richard McDaniel and his brothers, Eugene and Dale McDaniel.

Reid is survived by his loving wife of eighteen years, Ester Thompson McDaniel, his mother, Clover Ethel Elliot McDaniel, and sister, Beatrice Bright. Also left to cherish his memory are three son's, Adam Dalton, Travis McDaniel, Steven McDaniel and grandson, Ryan Dalton. Lastly, he leaves behind his loyal fur baby, Betsy.

Reid retired from MDI in Hickory, NC in 2016 after 29 years of service and spent the latest years of life traveling the world with his loving wife and family and spending quality time with his beloved grandson.
