Cherryville - Mrs. Renee Seate Jenks, 74, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

Renee was born on December 4, 1950 in Lincoln County, NC a daughter of the late A.W. Seate and Betty Hallman Seate. She was retired from Carolina Freight Carriers Corporation in Cherryville and also from First Wesleyan Church. Renee was a member of First Wesleyan Church in Cherryville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Robin DeVenny.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years Rick Jenks of the home; her son Cam Jenks and wife Ashley; her grandson, Aiden Jenks; a sister, Linda Beam and husband Murray; a brother, Maurice Seate and wife Brenda all of Cherryville; a brother-in-law Randy Jenks (Karen Laskey) all Cherryville; nephews, Steven Seate (Shannon); Trey Beam (Kelli); Nathaniel DeVenny; Jason Jenks and a niece Jordyn Jenks.

The family will receive friends from 10:45AM to 11:45AM on Friday, October 17, 2025 at First Wesleyan Church in Cherryville. At other times the family will be at the home of her son, Cam Jenks, 404 Kent Street, Cherryville, NC 28021.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00PM on Friday, October 17, 2025 at First Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Mark Poe officiating.

Burial will follow the service in the City Memorial Cemetery in Cherryville.
