Residents take notice of helicopter in Lattimore

On June 10, 2017 around 4:30 a helicopter was treating a corn field on Padgett Road.
It was in front of my uncle's house, James Crawley of 1435 Padgett Road. We had seen activity from the helicopter earlier that day off in the distance. We thought it must have been moving a piece of equipment. But low and behold it ended up being for agricultural purposes. It was dropping some type of granular substance from a spreader dangling from the chopper. It was so close you could see the pilot inside.
My step daughter, Ivy Buroughs who is 11, was outside as well, she kept us informed of when it was coming back. She ran up and down the yard yelling "it's coming again".
My uncle, who just turned seventy, really enjoyed watching it pass through. It stayed around for 15-20 minutes going in different directions to cover the corn fields. He also had some neighbors to come down the road on a golf cart to see the unusual event. It was just an unexpected sight out in Lattimore.
