SHELBY - Ressie Mae Owens, 72, native of Cleveland County, NC, passed away on Thursday, September 01, 2022 at White Oak Manor, Shelby surrounded by her loving family. She is predeceased by her parents, Howard Archie and Lucille Bridges Wylie; sister, Jessie Kay Bridges

Ressie leaves behind to cherish her memories her spouse of 37 years, Roger Owens and one brother, James Wylie.

She was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church of Shelby. She worked for YMCA and Cleveland County Schools doing custodial work. She loved animals during her lifetime. She will forever be in our hearts.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. at Buffalo Baptist Church, 108 Buffalo Church Rd, Shelby, NC 28150 on Tuesday, September 06, 2022 with Rev. Dustin Mace officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Burial will be held immediately following the service in the church cemetery.
