Dallas - Rev. Harold Edwin "Eddie" Benfield, 63 of Summey Farm Drive,
passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 at his home.

Born September 9, 1953 in Cleveland County, he was a son of Shirley Ann
Garver Benfield of Lawndale and the late Harold Wallace Benfield. Eddie is
a retired United Methodist Church minister having served churches in
Cleveland, Lincoln and Catawba Counties. He was also a volunteer chaplin
and a student mentor for James Love School.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of forty-two years,
Kathy Raines Benfield; two sons, Jason Benfield and wife Nicole of Boiling
Springs and David Benfield of Dallas; three grandchildren, Jacob, Owen and
Noah Benfield; two brothers, Chris Benfield and wife, Rhonda of Lawndale and
Jeff Benfield and wife, Pam of Fallston and a sister, Lisa Lackey and
husband, Keith of Fallston.

Visitation will be Monday, April 10, 2017, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston, NC.

A funeral service will be Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home
Chapel with the Rev. Caroll Flack officiating.

Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.
