Rev. Mack O'Neal Hyder, 72, of 1585 Maysville Rd. in Shelby, passed away
Saturday March 4, 2017 at home.

Born March 27, 1944 in South Carolina, he was a son of the late John Hyder
and Grace Hyder. He was the pastor of Wallace Grove Baptist Church and was
retired from Copeland and Ester Mill.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife,
Margaret Scism Hyder and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife of thirteen years, Darlene Craig Hyder; sons,
Neal Hyder and wife Julie of Cherryville, Jimmy Mellon and wife Rebecca of
Bessemer City; daughters, Cammy Richard and husband Blaine of Shelby,
Whitley Mellon of Shelby, Tammy Mellon of Lawndale, Melissa Towery and
husband Jessie of Lawndale; two brothers, Steve Hyder of Bessemer City and
Wayne Hyder of Shelby; grandchildren, Bradley Richard, Nathaniel Richard,
Zachary Hyder, Karson Hyder, Dalton Towery, Cooper Towery, Paige Suttles,
Jayden Mellon, Karlie Mellon, Tyler Mellon, Olivia Mellon and Preston
Mellon; two great grandchildren, Josiah Richard and Harper Richard.

The visitation will be 2:00PM until 3:00PM Sunday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral
Home.

The funeral service will be 3:00PM Sunday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Barry Goodman and Grandson Bradley Richard officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
