Rev. Tony Bryan Mote Sr.

Rev. Tony Bryant Mote Sr., 64, died Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Caromont Health in Gastonia.

A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late EB and Virginia Chambers Mote. Tony was a loving husband, father and grandfather who was always smiling and had an easy laugh. He was a pastor for over 22 years in the Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he enjoyed being a pastor and ministering to his congregations. He loved life and loved the Lord.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy, Johnny and Kenneth Mote.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Brenda Parris Mote of the home, sons, Tony Mote Jr., of Kings Mountain, Anthony Mote and wife Heather of Shelby, William Mote, and Matthew Mote and wife Stephanie all of Kings Mountain; sister, Shirley Adkins and husband David of Kings Mountain; brother, Jimmy Mote of Kings Mountain; grandchildren, Madyson, Connor, Ethan and Gracie Mote; special friend Sherrie Ellenburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral Service will be held 2pm Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain, with Bishop Michael Ainsworth and Rev. Ron Hawkins officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Grover Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
