Revonda Crowe Carswell

Revonda Crowe Carswell, age 81, of Forest City, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, February 7, 2021 at her residence.

Revonda was born Monday, October 9, 1939 in Rutherford County to the late William Grady Crowe and Annie May Murray Crowe. She was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Forest City. Revonda worked for PPG Industries, Skyland Textiles and retired from Kemet Electronics after eighteen years. She enjoyed travelling, reading, visiting with people and was an avid Elvis fan. Revonda had a heart to help others and was known for her famous homemade rolls. She loved her family dearly and always tried to see the best in people.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Searcy and a brother, Buford Crowe.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of forty-six years, Harold Carswell; daughters, Donna Michelle Lavender (Dale) of Shelby and Teresa Annette Blackwell (Marion Fred) of Boiling Springs, SC; stepson, Michael Dean Carswell (Julie Collins) of Forest City and stepdaughter, Michelle Carswell Bolding of Athens, Alabama; four sisters, Nina Gettys (Maynard) of Ellenboro, Mary Ann Blackwell of Mooresboro, Irene Black (Larry) of Denver, NC, Rosa Simmons of Mt. Holly; two brothers, Bobby Crowe (Dianne) of Bostic and Rev. Bill Crowe (Dolly) of Indian Trail, NC. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A funeral service for family only will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Reverend Matt Mills officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The service will be live streamed on the church's Facebook page for those who
